ICC t20 world cup2012 qualifier


The ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier is an international Twenty20 cricket tournament of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The purpose of this qualification is to select top associate member countries of ICC for T20 world cup. It's the similar fashion of one day international world cup cricket. First ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier was held in 2008. There were six participated teams. They were, Bermuda Canada, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands, Scotland. In 2010 the number of qualifier team was increased from 6 to 8 and they were Afghanistan, Canada, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, United States. Also, the first 16-team ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, which will determine the six teams to join the ten Full Members at the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in Sri Lanka, will be staged in the UAE in the early part of 2012.

2012 Qualifier
The 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier will be played in early 2012. It will be an expanded version comprising ten qualifiers from regional Twenty20 tournaments in addition to the six countries ODI/Twenty20 status countries. It will be staged in the early part of 2012.
